What is a Care Specialist?

A Care Specialist is the person you speak to when you call Navigator. We help find you the most appropriate, affordable care for your situation. Navigator Care Specialists are trained counselors and social workers with an expert knowledge of the treatment landscape. We understand the challenges you face. We know the different programs available, and we make suggestions and provide guidance tailored to your specific needs. This also applies to the friends and family of people hoping to manage their substance use.

You can trust a Care Specialist to be caring, helpful, and respectful. You will not be judged and will always be treated with the utmost care.

When you call Navigator, a Care Specialist will ask you a few questions about your situation, including your goals, treatment needs, details about your insurance, and other thoughts and feelings you have been experiencing. With this information, they will work with you to find a program that is right for you and that fits your everyday life. On the same phone call, the Care Specialist will book a same- or next-day evaluation at the alcohol or drug rehab center that is right for you and will provide you with clear directions on where to go for your appointment.
